Tanganani Ext 14 (Diepsloot East) is an integrated development in the north of Johannesburg, situated on William Nicol Drive Extension opposite the existing Diepsloot Township and informal settlement.
The R4.42 billion is a joint venture with Esor Limited.
The project will consist of 8 822 units.
Construction of two pedestrian bridges were completed mid-2015 and construction of infrastructure is expected to commence late 2018.
The development will include the following urban amenities:
- Total number of units – 8 822 units
- BNG housing (back yard rental units): 2 596 units
- CRU/Social housing: 3 159 units
- FLISP/GAP housing: 2 492 units
- Freestanding open market bonded units: 593 units
Bulk and Link Infrastructure
All of the bulk and link Infrastructure upgrades that are being done as part of the Tanganani Ext 14 development are not all project specific requirements. The City of Johannesburg is utilizing the project as a catalyst to drive infrastructure development within the area to unlock future residential developments along William Nicol Extension towards the N14.
Infrastructure such as roads, water, sewer, reticulation and storm water facilities and new electrical substation all forms part of general development in this area
